hello everyone i have a 1991 w124 e300 the problem with the car not shifting past second gear started from nowhere I drove it one night with no problem then the next day the problem appeared no matter what i do it wont shift, i checked fluid level and unplugged kickdown switch with no luck it shifts normally from first to second but wont go to third or fourth any help is much appreciated

Problem is likely within the valve body or governor assembly. Nothing simple unfortunately.
