Brake lines instruction?

I'm planning to purchase the G-stop steel brake lines. Is it an easy job to do myself? Anyone want to show me how?

Thanks.

Its real easy. First un-cap your brake fluid res...and let the old hoses drain out for a bit into a cup or bottle after you undo them from the caliper. Then remove them entirely when the fluid stops flowing. No special tools are needed. Install the new lines; being careful not to bend or kink them. Then bleed your system starting from RR wheel, LR, RF, LF. The brake lines will fit nice in the rear holders but you will have to jerry-rig the fronts so the line fits in the OE holders, usually some washers work.

Almost as easy as changing a spark plug...more messy though.

May I suggest ...

... StopTech Stainless Steel Braided Teflon D.O.T. approved brake lines in lieu of Goodridge or G-tech.

StopTech has a clear vinyl coating over the brake line that keeps dirt and debris from getting between the SST braid and the teflon tubing.

I have them installed on my 1992 500E. Below are part numbers for my application. I believe that other W124 models should be the same, but to be sure, one should discuss this with StopTech.

Rear
$58.00 - Item No. 85-560-5500
