Question what should I do...

so here's the question...I still have this damage on the bumper from the previous owner. Wondering is there a cheap solution to fixing it. haha Any suggestions? I circled the damages with red. Its just big light scratches that you see below.

BTW, starting my project of painting my grill tomorrow. wish my luck and I'll take some pictures of the progress as I go.

Get some rubbing compound and try and rub the discoloration out. It might look better afterward. You can replace just the bumper insert, where the damage seems to be from your picture.

You wouldn't have to replace the whole bumper, just the insert. You will have to remove the bumper to get it off though.

As for rubbing compound....go to the store and look in the section where the car polishers are. I'd look for one that is liquid and not too abrasive..

I don't think Rubber Compound would work would it? It's pretty damaged/scratched to the point where I can't do anything about it. I think I tried something similar to a rubbing compound but I can't recall if I did or not but all I know is that it didnt work!!!

3m makes a rattle can bumper paint, it goes on real thick so try it out on something other than the benz first to get the feel of it.

Did you use the Blk liquid shoe polish or the paste. Sounds like you tried using paste. They have blk bumper rejuvinator and paint at Pep Boys. But personally I would just leave it alone, save some money and colormatch all your black trim and lower body panels.
