Question M104 high end loss of power

Was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue ive been having with my pre-facelift 1993 w124 with the M104 2.8 engine.
when i drive the car hard through the whole rev range there is a large loss of power after around 4400rpm, this always happens at exactly 4400rpm like clockwork. my car has fairly high kilometers at around 350, 000k and is overall in pretty good mechanical condition. The only issues with the engine right now are small exhaust leaks and an aftermarket ''cold air'' intake because the original broke, i suspect the cam advance solenoid/sensor or maybe the advanced fuel injection/ignition timing but honestly i have no idea as the engine runs perfectly anywhere before 4400rpm. If anyone has had the same isue or knows the problem please help as i need to get this solved before i turbo the car (which i want to do soon), Thanks

I also just found that the cam advance magnet on the front of the engine is or was leaking oil either from the plug or the seal around it, could this be a sign of it failing or being failed and could this cause the loss of power at high rpm’s?
