W124 E320 Harsh Downshift
Hello everyone!
So I've got this strange problem with the 722.369 transmission of my 1994 E320. When going with the highway speed (in 4th gear) and I decide to push the gas so much, that it downshifts into 3rd - pedal to the metal or kickdown, the downshift happens in the harshest manner - it kicks very hard. I've changed the fluid + filter, but the symptom still exists... The transmission mechanic told me it is not the trans issue, but rather something in the drivetrain. Has anyone had a similar issue, or have any idea what it might be?
2) Another problem I have is, that sometimes the car continues the acceleration just a little bit when I let off the throttle. This is noticeable mostly at lower speeds, when I'm going over a bump for example, I let the throttle completely, but the car seems to continue rolling a bit, feels like the throttle body does not close completely or something like that. I have changed the fuel filter, and spark plugs, and cleaned the injectors. I have not touched the throttle body and MAF yet, since I have heard some horrible stories after people cleaning them and things getting worse.
Hope to get some useful info from you, thank you!
