Is is possible to swap the seat leather from driver to passenger to even out the wear? Do the seat unit assemblies (not the backs) swap, or just the cover, or neither? The seats look the same to me.

it is no problem to swap the seat upholstery. It just takes some patience and about 2 hours time. Take the seats out and take them apart. (seat and backrest) Turn the seat upside down and you can see the edges of the upholstery are inserted into "c-shaped" rails. Remove the upholstery and swap it. Actually this works the same way with the back rests.

Is there anyplace that sells new seat covers for the W124 ? I have been checking ebay every now and then but no luck for the 90 300e.
