Hi guys, I have a 1993 Mercedes W124, the central locking system is not working, what is the solution and what are the initial checks that I can do myself?

190E 2.6L 1989, 190E 2.6L 1988, BMW 535dXdrive 2014, BMW 428i 2015
Most likely the pump is not working or there is a leak. When activated (by any door or trunk) you should hear the pump running.
If not running you will most likely need a new pump.
If it is running, there could be vacuum leaks here and there that you will have to fix.

I assume yours is vacuum operated? MB switched to electric at some point.
