Brilliant

Brilliant silver with a black interior is a perfect color combination. It is just like my friend’s 190E. He loves his car. I love the black interiors. Is it MBTex, or leather? The MBTex lasts forever. You are also lucky to have the front license plate filler piece. It makes the front of the car look very clean and sleek. I also like the AMG sill plates. I have OEM stainless that came on the 1995 Special Edition. The stainless is a nice look when you open the door. I am trying to get over my appreciation for the S600 grille insert. So many guys have problems with poor quality parts and I had problems too, so I am trying to forget about ever trying that modification again. Your AMG replicas look good too. I would never get rid of my front hood star. I would miss it too much.

Hey, I just read your other post about getting your start ripped off. Sorry about that. My friend replaced his with the removable version. It is OK. He just takes it off when he parks somewhere that he thinks there might be danger.

thanks 13 benz and ksing. yah i really am glad i have the plate filler peice, i hate seeing those stupid liscence plates on the front so cheesy. And im not sure what MBTex is, and im pretty sure i have leather, the interior is mint no scratches, the leather is very soft and clean, i keep it shined up. the amg plates were 60$ from ebay, im very pleased with those, except some stupid hoe scratched one of them in the back. oh well cant see that unless ur lookin for it. You dont like the s600 insert? i dont know what u mean about it beaing cheap quality, the one i got is more solid that the one i had, i ordered it from houston texas, and i am VERY VERY pleased with its sturdyness and beauty. ill get u a link to the grille. its a must on the 124's. And thanks for ur concern about the hood star, im glad to inform u and everyone else that i got a new one from mercedes today and it took about 2 mins to install. Also i tinted my car ( that's what i do ) 3% in the back and 5% in the front with a fair sized eyebrow, ill be sure to get pics of everything, later yall

I love the hood star

I guess you lucked out getting a quality grille insert. I think you should count your blessings, because everyone else is not so fortunate. There are others that are happy with their S600 inserts, but there are also quite a few that were disappointed. I am curious about where you purchased the insert, but I may never try another one.

I have the cheesy front license plate, but it was either that or a blank mounting bracket that I thought made the car look incomplete. I thought the stainless license plate looked better than nothing, so I went for it. I did look into getting the filler piece, but it was going to be quite expensive for the part and the paint, so I decided to wait. maybe someday I will get the front filler piece. I do prefer the clean sleek look without the front plate.

MBTex is very thick high quality Mercedes Benz vinyl. It may actually be nicer than leather. If your door panels are padded and kind of tufted, then you have leather. If your door panels are flat and more rigid, then you probably have MBTex. I think most or all of the diesels are MBTex, but I don’t know how common it was on the 1994 E320.

Newbie,

Please let us know where u got the grille from. How much was it ? Do they carry it for the older W124s?

Thanks

D

I got the grille on ebay from JKmotoring out of houston texas, Ebay is a good place to get the grille, see pictures before u buy and read the reviews. And my interior is leather, its so mint i cant beleive it's origonal. Im also thinking about removing the light wipers and putting in the peice that has no hole in it. Also in the future i plan on getting a wald bodykit from autorice.com and painting the bottom pannels the same as the top, all silver. I have Limo Tint, Chrome 17' Hammers, 2 inch drop(on the way), 2 10's(momo) and 2 15's(on the way) subs, 3 amps( blade,Crossfire 1000watt), touch screen deck(JVC), ANd one day TV's where the visors are because i have a limo tinted sun strip. I also still need a new wood peice, the one with the heated seat buttons and the windows shifter and stuff.

sweet

What size wheels and tires do you have. Trying to get an idea of what my 18" AMG monoblocks will look like on my '95. Like the AMG door plates too. Where else can you find those besides ebay? Thanks

Not that it really matters but those are AMG Monoblock II replicas. Still a nice wheel and would be great as a winter wheel since we albertans have a long winter!

I really like how clean and slick your car looks, well done!

I run my AMG monoII's in the winter with Dunlop Graspic winter tires and it keeps the car looking stylish for the 6 months or so haha...

THEN Summer comes and that means my 18" Carlsson 2/6's!!!!! (I miss them already )

You should buzz me when you come to calgary, i'd love to swap modding ideas!

Haha, yeah well when I bought the car the AMG's were on it. They had/have a bit of curb rash and the clear coat was coming off the lips so I figured I'd run them and buy 18's that were a little more unique for the summer...luck of the draw I guess!

I will be in montreal for the holidays but in the new year if you ever come to calgary, give me a shout!

yah u stumbled apon some luck with those rims, my car came with factory bull crap rims for winter and the amg's for summer. so im pollishing them to make them more desirable. ANd if im ever in calgary ill get a hold of u for sure. and DrTofu id also be down with an alberta meet. like a 2 times a year type thing to see everyones cars and upgrades and all that great stuff. we should organize that. get back to me if u figure anything out.. later guys
