95 E320 will not crank

Cold start, happened suddenly - Inserted key, turned all the way, all lights came on, seatbelt buzzed, radio played, but engine didn't crank. Battery is 6 mos. old, tried jump anyway. Same thing. Ideas? Thanks, KG

Try putting the shifter lever in neutral and try cranking the engine again, if it starts then you have a bad neutral safety switch. If that doesn't work then it could also be a starter, ignition switch or something else.

Not Starting in Park

You could also have bad shifter bushings. I would have a mechanic take a quick look hopefully while your standing there with him under the car. This is not uncommon.
