throttle cable adjustment

In my 230E, I tightened the throttle cable as the accel pedal had an inch freeplay, in this new setting when the accel pedal is fully released it is not pressing the microswitch anymore, does it matter??? I attached the picture;

A: tells about the microswtch,
B: is the location of throttle assembly (is it ok)

One more thing i add here that the accel pedal is not pressing the kickdown button now.

The Hayes Repair and Maintenance manual says that the microswitch should be depressed after you have properly adjusted the cable. There may be additional adjustments to be made at the footwell under accelerator pedal to get this adjustment just right. If you can get the Hayes manual, it's pretty well spelt out.
