headlight wipers

Are these things for looks, or do they function? How do you activate them, I have done every combination of light/wipers possibe. Its not that important, but it is good to know stuff.

I have tried that. Some of the vacuum lines were in need of replacement when I bought this car, and maybe I have missed a few in replacing them

On my '93 300TE, the headlight wipers work when you are washing the windshield. So when you press the button on the stalk and wiper fluid is being sprayed on the windshield the headlight washers are working simultaneously. Happy washing .
BTW I think these are an important safety feature for those who drive long on snow covered roads because dirt accumulates on the headlights and withought you noticing, the lights are as weak as candles!

thats how mine operate on my 94... you have to push the windshield washer button and run really fast around to the front of you car if you want to see them in action...

make sure motors are plugged in and nothing is un-hooked at windshield washer container.

unlikely, but check your fuses.

Well on mine it's when you wash the windshield AND have the headlights on at the same time. That's when the little ones move. Took me like 6 months to figure that one out....
