Electrical issue on my 1990 W124 300CE – Fuse C seems to be the culprit
SubscribeHey everyone!
I’m having an electrical issue with my 1990 W124 300CE, and it looks like Fuse C might be the cause.
When I connect a door courtesy light or the trunk light, the current draw increases — about 350mA for the door lights and 700mA for the trunk light.
There’s also a red/white wire connected to my X30 connector box.
Another issue: on the E pin of my comfort module, when it’s plugged in, I get a current draw of around 175mA (even with the X30 connector unplugged). However, if I remove Fuse C, I don’t hear the small “click” anymore.
Any ideas or similar experiences?
Thanks in advance!

Did you get anywhere with this? I've just started getting an intermittent 'click' with mine, even when engines off, keys out and doors are shut. If I remove fuse 9 it stops. Battery gets drained after a couple of days, so presume there's an electrical gremlin in a fuse 9 component somewhere... Mines a 1993 300CE-24 cab.Originally Posted by Wiselife
