Need Help Finding W124 Heater Core Metal Pipe Set - A0018302015
To clarify the current situation, the evaporator was the original reason for this repair, and it has already been replaced. Since the HVAC box was already out, I also replaced the heater core as preventative maintenance. The HVAC box itself is good.
The only remaining issue is the metal heater core pipe set. The sealing ends on my original pipes have corrosion/pitting where they seal into the heater core.
At this point, I am looking for any of the following:
- A supplier that may still have a new pipe set available
- A good used pipe set from a parts car or donor HVAC box, as long as the sealing ends are clean
- A proven long-term repair method for the original pipes, including sealing or permanently bonding them into the heater core
- Any general advice from someone who has dealt with this repair or this specific sealing issue before
I am trying to avoid buying a complete used HVAC box unless it becomes the only realistic option, mainly because of the cost, shipping, and the risk that the used pipes could have the same corrosion issue.
If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate hearing what worked, what did not work, what materials or sealants were used, and whether the repair held up long-term.

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me track down a hard-to-find heater core pipe set for a 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 W124 sedan.
The car is a:
1995 Mercedes-Benz E320
W124.032
VIN: WDBEA32E6SC204962
Equipped with the cabin/dust filter HVAC box
The part I’m looking for is:
A0018302015 / 001 830 20 15
Mercedes description: pipeline / heat exchanger pipes
EPC diagram reference: #32
These are the rigid metal pipes that plug directly into the heater core inside the HVAC/heater case. I am not looking for the external rubber heater hoses or the downstream heater hose assemblies.
The issue I’m running into is that the sealing ends on my original pipes are pitted badly enough that they will not seal reliably with new O-rings. I have already tried cleaning/polishing the pipe ends and testing different O-rings, but I have not been able to get a dependable seal.
I would be interested in either:
- The pipe set by itself
- A complete compatible heater box that still has good heater core pipe ends
- Any solid leads on someone parting out a W124 with the dust-filter HVAC box
For reference, these are not the parts I need:
A1248305415
A1248306396
Those appear to be external/downstream heater hose assemblies, not the internal heater core pipe set.
Any help, leads, parts cars, or advice would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a pretty specific part, but I’m hoping someone in the W124 world has run into this before or has a spare heater box sitting around.
Thanks in advance.
