keyless entry and remote start installed

got keyless entry and remote start installed on my e320.... cost $300 installed. im pretty impressed with the system... only down side is the dumb looking remote!!! put the key in the ignition and turn it a quarter and all the doors automatically lock... take the keys out of the ignition all the doors automatically open... remote lock and the blinker lights flash when locking the doors.... remote unlock and the blinker lights flash and the dome lights turn on when unlocking the doors.

as far as the remote start- its sweet!!!! one touch of a button and the car comes to life!!!! when the car is on with the remote start all you have to do is put the key in the ignition turn it to the on/start position... and drive off!!!
if you remote start it without putting the key in the ignition... and touch the brakes (i.e. in order to shift into gear) the system kills the car and it shuts off.

i would definately recommend all you w124 owners to atleast install keyless entry..... you will all be very pleased and itll be money well spent!!

I got the same, it's really worth it when the weather is cold.

At first I had a hard time finding anyone that would install it cause they said MB was different. Then I found a little shop here in OKC that would instal it for $239.

hood kill switch....

you guys probably want more detailed pictures.... but i honestly dont know exactlly what all was done.... heres a picture of a kill switch under my hood.... if you use the remote start.... and the key is not in the ignition..... the engine will turn off if you push the brake... or open the hood...... from the (white) switch you can follow the black tubing towards the front.... but to where... i dont know...

Looks good and sounds good I must say. How much did you pay all together for the kit and installation?

I'll look into this in the near future, perhaps when summer comes rolling around.

EDIT: errr I saw the price in the first post. lol
