MBZ Factory iPod interface now available....
sort of. If you buy a 2006 ML it will come with the option of an iPod interface that is in the glovebox. The MF wheel will allow you to scroll through your songlist and all iPod displays will be available through the dash.
This is available in "kit form" for any 2005 or newer MBZ (with glovebox wiring). The cost will be $299 plus installation at the dealer.
BTW, it will also charge your iPod while you listen.
If anyone knows the specifics of this kit, and if it will be adaptable to previous model years, please provide some information.
such as...
Does this replace a glovebox CD changer or does it have a 'splitter' that allows both?
Could it replace a trunk mounted changer or is it completley different? (I'm assuming that it would use the fiber optic connection and an adapter in the glovebox, so why not in the trunk as well?)
