New W210 Owner - ex BMW Owner PICS

Hey guys, well i'm a former E39 540i owner turned MBZ. I recently lost my E39 540i and have ALWAYS loved the w210 body, and the W210 E55 was my dream car ever since it came out. But due to my high inssurance I am un able to get a V8, so i got an E320. I know......power is nothing compared to my 540i, but the W210 body makes up for it with its classic style. Okay, i've done my HW on the car and read a millions posts from u guys to get up to speed about the car. So, i'll try and keep the repetativeness down.

Okay, well its a 98 E320 blk/blk i just got, no pics yet since it hasnt arrived yet. But Here is a list of plans and a few questions for some of you guys if you dont mind..............

19" Brabus Monoblock VI
H&R Coilovers
Brabus lip kit
E55 Tails
Upgrade to Xenons
Sebring Exhaust
E430 Brakes ------ Is this possible??? I want bigger brake minus buying 3k Brembo Kit/ Stoptech
Chip

Okay, that is the plan for the car, a clean E320. Here are a few pics of my Past car RIP 540i & a few of my parents MBZ's. Also, is there any known problems with the E320 i should know about and what are cheap and easy to do mods for the car (if there are any), what are the known defects? Any other info any of you owners know about that i should be aware of??? Thanks.

Well, I know everyone wants to say it, but it wont be me.......

As far as the brakes go, many of the 430s had the same 300 mm rotors as the 320s. The difference between the 300 and 316 is pretty small, so probably not worth the price even if you can find the calpers and rotors.

ahh okay, only reasoned i asked was because i herd the 430 rotors were larger so............u know. okay, well i guess i'll just get some aftermarkets ones then. =)

ahh man, i'm sorry about your lost. i had a e39 528i but i had it for only a month and didn't go ahead with my project on it but this summer i'm buying a e39 540i and it should be crazy once it's done.....

congrads on the w210, hopefully you'll love it!!!

if u do get a 540i, let me tell you the #1 exhaust to get. No joke at all, Sebring. Not only did my car sound like a damn F1 but every other owner of a 540i would ask me all day long what kind of exhaust i have on it and what i had done to the motor. Beats Dinan, remus, hamann, raspy schnitzer, ect. ect. Trust me on this

I'd have to agree with u on the exhausts - sound sgreat on my E (resonator removed) but just curious, where are you getting your Sebrings from? Heard their difficult to come by in Nth America.

Yup, your exactly right. Trying to get the exhaust took awhile, and i paid good money for it. Funny story, I acually met the guy who purchased the Skyline in 2fast2furious and he told me about his warehouse he owns and invited me to come take a look at the car along with his others. While i was there he saw my car (my 540i which was pretty much stock, just lowered with wheels) and asked me my plans for the car, which i told him. He then offered to work on my car where he hooked me up with the Exhaust & Hamann Lip Kit. So.......yea i know its hard to get, but its worth the money and effort trying to get it.

I also live next door a German wholeseller who gets me any part or car i want

yeah i've heard good things about Sebring but i heard a install in a 540i( eisenmann) that sucker sounded so good, there's many products out there for bmw's, it all comes how to performs........dave you know i'm going to put out one sick 540, i have it drawn up already, just a matter of finding one in my bugdet range.

Get a 97 or 98 and update it. That is what i did, 97 & 98 are faster then 99+ because they dont have Vanos, + they are lighter, not by much but enough depending on how serious u are. Just be aware that BMW V8 are very tempramental and needs lots of tender care, and watch the radiator and temp gauge, likes to get stuck on older models.

dude, sounds like you should have nothing less than those titanium exhausts we've been discussing for ya 540

If u guys have problems getting Sebrings, I may be able to help as my mech is the sole distributor of Sebrings here in HK and he gets plenty of stock all the time.

From memory, the one for the 320 is the round dual pipes, similar to what u posted, but need to double check.
