The tip about cutting of the plastic tips, see the pic in the original thread, is a very good tip. The hassle of remembering how the glove box snaps out of the hole is a real pain. I cut them tips/tabs off too. The box will not move.

I just replaced my filters today. I found that it helped to tilt the glove box back a little bit as I pulled it out. That is, I grabbed the bottom edge, lifted a little bit and yanked. You'll have to pull harder than what feels comfortable.
Someone suggested unclipping the light and inserting a screwdriver to depress the top of the housing, but I couldn't get my light unclipped.
Once the box is out, it's a breeze to change the filters.
