Which 01 options can be installed in a 98-99 E300TD?
We’re thinkin about buyin a 300TD and wanted to know what the cost/headache factor for installing:
-Active Front Ventilated seats – Might be costly but worth it to me
-Rear shades
-Navigation – Seen these on http://www.nav-tv.com/index02.htm, has anyone installed one of these in a 98-99?
-00 and later steering wheel – wife likes the stereo controls that are on it
-Engine and other performance upgrades – I’ve seen 1.9 liter VW TDIs do 240 lbs of crank torque with just chip, larger injects and more air from the vnt15 turbo (via chip). These upgrades are fairly easy for below avg. wrencher, are there any upgrades that are similar to these for the 98-99 E300TD.
We’re thinking about keeping this car for 5-6 years or until the E320CDIs come down in price so the 3-4k dollar injecting into a well kept TD would be worth it to us.

Its possible...
Well..
I have a 96 and got allmost all the mentioned parts refittet to my car in Holland by a person that travels a lot World wide.
I dont think Active seats was offered in the 210 but ventilated seats was.
I dont have a chip in my car.. bud the rest i have..
Eletric rear shade and manual side shades.
Seats with L&R memory, heat and Ventilation

Xenon Headlights and New Taillights
All wood replaced with black.

good upgrades....I'm very impressed.
Question.... the instrument cluster upgrade...what was done?? Just the face to a newer look OR you changed the whole cluster???
