"A SERVICE" @50K coming. What is the going rate?
I am going to have to take my 2000 E320 in for the A-Service according to my dash readout and it will have @50K on it when it goes in.
What should I expect to pay for this service and what all does it involve?
Thanks in advance.
Phil

The A service is essentially a glorified oil change. They replace the dust filter, check lights & various fluid levels, check tire pressures, and check brake pads. This is all stuff you could do yourself in an hour or two of work. Price seems to vary from dealer to dealer.

Most dealers will not charge if your car is +/- 500 miles of the 50K threshold as a common courtesy. If they do end up charging you, just request that they do an oil change so you dont have to pay the $300 they will easily steal from you.

Use an indie
and save time and money. It's a few hundred bucks at the dealer and a good indie is better, anyway.

My Stealer runs around $400 for the A and $550 for the B.
And when you read the list of things they "check" for this price, you wonder why there is no mention of "checking" your prostate, which is part of the service near the end.
