Doors Locking Automatically

Is there a way to make the car doors lock automatically when I drive off? My E430 used to do that until I took my car to the dealership yesterday and now i have to do it manually.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What year is your E?

With W203 C class cars you can change the setting using the dash display and wheel buttons. Don't know if that is available on yours. On our ML, it is a computer setting settable by the dealer.

An alternative is to take it back to the dealership and tell 'em "whatever you did, undo it!"

Sael, I did as you suggested below and the doors are still not locking. FWIW, it's a 2002 E430.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Illona,
Check your manual. They give instructions on how to turn this feature on/off. When on, the doors lock automatically when you exceed 9mph. I think this is what Sael was trying to describe to you. But maybe your model has a slightly different procedure. Either way, it should be clearly explained in the manual under door locks.

The instruction I wrote were for a '98 e430 so there might be a diferent way for a '02 model. But Ryson is right check the owners manual it should be under doors or call the dealer.
