Window Tinting Prices
The most reputible tint place in town (there's a joke) has quoted me to tint my car: Using 18% Formula One Pinnacle (the ceramic tint) on the back, and then the typical Lumar 35% for all the side windows. I went back and forth with him on a price, and came to $325. I don't like shops that don't post prices, but i guess that's pretty normal. Just want to run that number by other CA people to see if i'm getting fleeced. Those out of CA may comment, but i don't care how many cows you traded for the job ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I paid $160 with SunGuard tint, 25% all around (4 doors & back). Lifetime guarantee. This is for titanium tint. Regular tint is $40 cheaper. Superb job !!
The shop is Best Tint, 714-828-8800

got mine done in Livermore (bay area nor cal). Formula One 1 (not ceramic).
From what I've been told by serveral people, ceramic would be the choice if you had NAV or listened to the AM stations. All 4 windows & rear plus moleskins (i.e. synthenic strip on each window to help prevent scratches). Moleskins cost $25 each. $400 total. It seems that so cal members are getting it alot less). Went with 50% on all side windows and 35% for the large rear (one piece); Lifetime warranty.

zam2000 - that's a good price, does it effect reception on your radio? 25% around, any trouble with the cops? I'm in the bay area too, seems like it's hard to find a deal.

I paid $160 at a place called Sun Tech, I used them because they use 3M film which I feel is the best. E and SL both the same price. They're in Reseda.

Madico is one of the best tinting films around. I got my windows done for $160 using Madico film, 20% on the rear section and 35% on the front roll downs (to at least try and avoid a ticket). Anyway, The CA Tint Shop in Northridge has done my work for years, after I stopped tinting myself many moons ago. If you're looking for a good price and quality install with a lifetime warranty, call David at (818) 885-8835 and tell him Jimmy the Greek sent you. He also carries Platinum tint as well if you're interested.

I have Sungaurd, 20% on rear doors and rear glass. I have 30% on front doors. Cost was $395.00, but all glass was removed then tinted. Dont know if everyone removes the glass, but it is much cheaper if you dont.

Oh, everyone don't forget to make sure to either install the felt strip yourself on the weather stip to protect the tint from being scratched or have the shop do it. It will save you in the long run!

well, thanks all for making me feel like a sucker, my car is in as i write this, getting formula one pinnacle 15% on the back, and formula one 30% on the sides - for $325. i looked all over the north bay, and for this quality of film i can't get any lower. looks like i'll be drinkin' milwaukee's best for a while to even out the budget.
