1997 E 320 - 2000 S500
1997 E320 Signal Cluster

I am having a problem with a loose signal cluster on my 1997 E320 .

I understand it is a big job to repair.

Does anyone have the repair infor or a blowup of the columb?

It's known defect on the W210 line. Just remove the steering wheel, remove the steering column cover, tighten up the 2 screws, and put all back.

I think there's a threat here of how to replace the steering wheels by Greg, w/ very good instruction.

If you're in SoCal, I can point you to shop that charge 1/2 hour for the job.

You guys are talking about the turn signal stalk correct. Our '99 E300 has the same issue as well if this is so and I want to correct it.

Now what do we need to do to get deeper into the steering column to correct the issue. I know that the black plastic shield/cover that surrounds the base of the steering wheel into the dash board also moves... Anyone have this too?
