New eBay auction with W210 LED's...any thoughts?

Any thoughts on the newer pics? I know some posted the back of it already. I also know they're still pieces of junk, but this auction has a better description. Apparently, they're leaking over to more wholesellers. Oh yeah, here's the link on eBay:

If you look closely, these lights are manufactured by Eagle Eye. http://www.gashaponusa.com/AUCTION/N...210_LED_04.jpg

I purchased a set of E55 lamps for our E300TD, thinking they were like OEM quality. HAH! Garbage. I'd be very cautious buying these lamps. I literally have to shave some of the outer lenses to make them sit properly.

Given that the lamps you bought were for the newer E55 from 2000-2002 you had to shave the lamps slightly to fit your older car (pre-facelift). This is completely normal as we had to do this to my brother-inlaws car.

NO. I should have specified further. I had to shave the outer lenses to properly fit flush in the opening in the quarterpanel, not the trunk lid.

I know, you had to shave the lamps themselves and not the trunklid or openings on the car.

They dont' look too bad, but the clear part, it would be nice if it was smoked. Although, the picture of the wiring and circuit board, looks flimsy and cheap that lead to burn out or water leaks.

Update: New Style Available

Was looking around the local ricer shops today and saw a new design from Eagle Eye - they now look exactly the same as the MY00+ tailights (i.e. the clear part is now surrounded by the red instead of going all the way to the top). No, smoke is not yet available.

I got the shop to hook them up to a 12V power source and the light is not too bad but not what I expect from LEDs. The blinkers are quite bright...I wished I had my car there to compare the Halogens with those. Side vision of the red part is minimal (but so are the OEM ones) however the visibility of the blinker is fine.

Only the outer lights are LEDs - the center ones still uses Halogen bulbs.

The back looks like the earlier version posted here - still cheap looking.

These are priced at around USD216 here and judging from the pricing between HK and US projectors, I expect they will be around the same i.e. USD200. I'm sure they will be hitting your shores soon.

I didnt buy those because i've paid good money for the real MY00+ E55/Advantgarde ones already (besides I like the tinted look), plus I don't really think it would make such a big impact - most people on the streets wouldn't notice them. But for those looking to update their pre-facelift tail lights to the newer style this may be an option.....N.B. let buyer beware, quality and fit may be shoddy, just like the replica lights and without a proper comparison with the OEM halogens under the same lighting condition, I can't vouch that the light quality is any good.
