head lights 1999 E240 210

My headlights could look more flash (they are made of a plastic material and you cant see threw them )
Is there a replacemnet, maybe non geniun that could improve the appearance of the headlights...
The new model E series look great. Are they interchangeable.

This looks like a re-post.

But here's straight answers:

1) No, the current model W211 E's light cannot be transplanted onto a W210; but
2) You can get after market projector upgrades that look like the current model E (however there are quality issues and you will need to modify to make them acceptable functionally) - BTW, where have you been all this time? There's numerous posts on these lights lately

There are you based? With an E240, you're definitely not in the US.

There is a third option..

Factory Xenon.. they are halfway there..
The outer shell is clear.. -but u cant se the "mirror" only

-With a 240.. it could be Denmark..

Settle down..no offence, was just curious why you couldnt see all those posts on the projectors - been noticing u in here for a while.

BTW I have a place and relatives in OZ so I know what its like and its no different in HK. No need to be so defensive about the 240 thing, I was just trying to identify where you are so I can point you in the right direction, if in HK or other asian countries, I can tell u where to get it. Hey, I got one too....peace out man

No worries matey . If you're in Sydney, I may have a contact for MB parts but not the projectors, which are available in other parts of Asia - remember, you will be needing a right hand drive version, so the ones on Ebay may not work.

BTW, how does the 240 perform on highways (not much chance to let her rip out here )? In its stock form it'll probably be helpless against the home grown Commodores and Falcons but with a few simple mods, it should be better.

And also, my comment about the 240 before was because there is nothing smaller than a 320 in the US.

Where did you get those headlights??

Was surfing for aftermarket headlights for my W210 in USA and saw your photos on replacing the assembly. Thanks! Great job!

BTW, I'm in Bangkok for four months and noticed lots of aftermarket shops all over the place. But since my car is in California, how can I be sure they will fit? These shops are often inside big shopping malls and look like any other auto shop around the globe. I know if I ship them home, it could spell trouble, but I can get both headlights in Euro-syle for a mere $350 USD. Is this a fair price?? Maybe I can send a photo later of the units and share.

Thanks for replies!

you and i share same headlight. for that price, you can get from Autodynamic.com for basically the same price and not have to worry about shipping and fit problems (not knowing what it is you're seeing over there).

They're RHD there, can't use the light here.

RHD means Right Hand Drive. They drive on the opposite side of the road than the US. Like in England. I am assuming that you mentioned this because the headlight beam cast is also the opposite.

Is this correct?

Precisely! Headlights are designed to point slightly away from on-coming traffic hence altho RHD lights will physically fit on LHD cars, they are not recommended for obvious reasons.
