Exclamation 18" AMG Wheels

I have 1997 E-420 with 16" Wheels.

I found on E-bay AMG 2005 E55 18" Wheels. Is any one know if 18" fit without rubbing fronts arms.

Thanks

Those wheels will not fit your car different lug size.

112(x5) is the hole configuration, not size. W211 uses a different bolt. It will work but needs modifications in order for them to be safe.

Bolt hole size needs to be 12mm instead of 14mm. Not to be confused with the 112 bolt spacing as was said...

Exclamation

You can also machine a 12mm bolt's lug seat to fit more safely into 14mm wheel but not recommended unless you know what you are doing.

If you like that style, I would recommend the AMG Style IV for the CLK55 W209/C55 W203 that Stemags has (he has 17's). Note that these are different to the C32 W203 type IV which has an even bigger bend at the ends of the spokes, altho anything off a C or CLK will fit, albeit with minor offset differences(see pictures for differences - note ends of spokes and the dimple in the center). The spokes aren't as straight, hence the wheel won't appear as large as the Style IV's for the W211 E55, but you will have a lip. They do come in 18's but only in 7.5"/8.5" staggered, with the front needing some spacers. Since you're in NY, Stemags might be willing to point you in the right direction as to where you can get a good deal on the immaculate used ones that he got.

Style IV for W203 C32:

Spacers reduce offset. The 18X7.5 has an offset of et37 and will not require a spacer for the W210. Using, say a 5mm spacer would make the offset et32 and push the wheel further out.

At 7.5" wide, a spacer would make the fender alignment much better, no?.....that is what I meant Something less than 5mm (if available) would be better to avoid making the fronts appear to be sticking further out than the 8.5" rears at ET30.
