Is it possible to switch the driver and passenger seats?
I know there will be a seatbelt mod, what else?

If there is an airbag sensor in the passenger seat, it won't work.

I don't think the 96 has the airbag sensor. That came around in 98. The seat covers look the same so if you are just fixing a ripped seat, just swap the leather.

Why you want to switch it?

The seat heater isn't working on the driver side, but is on the passengers?

Just swap the lower leather cover.

How do you pull out the seat covers? I want to swap them too as the driver side is showing its age. Would there be a problem on a 98-E320?

Take the seat out and flip it over. You can see the bottom how it is held on. It kind of tucks in to the seat frame.
