Useful A/C info...maybe
Ok I went to the Benz shop that redid my transmission for me and found out that when the pressure is low the EC light comes on. Ok everyone here knows that but what he told me is after putting in that stop leak stuff all I really need to do was have my system blown out and maybe replace the dryer but not the pressure sensor as the other guy had me do. Also he said the reason I could not get the system to then suck in more R134 was because I needed to hook my system up to one of those computers and clear my codes from the system and then it will take the R134. Clearing the codes will infact remove the EC light and allow the compressor to work.
So it is not a big deal at all it is just knowing that piece of information. Also he said they guys at the other shop did not know that so they hooked direct power up to test my compressor and messed up something which at this very moment he is determining. I will let you guys know what other information he tells me. I know a lot of you may know this but it may help someone that is working on their A/C system themselves and get stuck along the way.
