Anyone know where I can get chrome exhaust tips for a 2000 E320 (one "double")?

 

Also, if we purchase the exhaust tips, how is the bumper modified to accomodate them?

I don't think there are exhaust tips available for the W210's due to the way the OEM muffler points. It has been discussed before.

You can buy an aftermarket or AMG muffler and stick it on with or without cutting the bumper.

 

There are and doesn't need bumper mods cuz they're designed to go round under the bumper. However they are rare and because of the need to comeout under the bumper, the extra "S" bend makes the exhaust system more inefficient.

 

I just got the new performanceproducts catalog,,they have them in oval and sqaure.

 

Are you talking about just the tips to hook onto the stock muffler? I thought this was discussed before and was not an option for the W210's.

That is a complete exhaust replacement. It's about $800 but I think we can shave off a lot from that.

 

These have always been available but not common and depletes exhaust efficiency. Besides, they look fugly from the side (how it bends under the bumper).

Assuming the tips go for $100+, Remus exhausts go for less than $500 (I understand) so why not go for real exhaust replacements for extra performance and looks? Perhaps a reason why the tips are not hugely popular....?
