4 wheeled car.
Bixenon doesn't mean that there are two separate projectors with two separate bulbs. I have retrofitted W211 bixenons in my car. All it is is a projector that has a metal flap in front of the bulb. In a non bixenon application, that metal flap is there to stay. Butw/ bixenon, that flap is hooked to an actuator, which is triggered by the highbeam switch, and then drops down to let all the light out, thus giving high beam. There is no separate bulb to ignite.

Your regular center hi-beams still "ignite", but that's mainly for flashing purposes.....but you're correct on other matters. Sources tell me commercially produced bi-xenons for the aftermarket will be introduced very soon........

GodFather - Did you retrofit the lens yourself? I just picked up some new headlights on ebay. Can you give me details if so.

Yes I did it myself. It's very straight forward. Get rid of the cheap lense/projector, line up the new one in there. You gotta jerryrig it with washers or use epoxy. You'll see. It's because the holes dont line up. And then the two wires (positive and ground) for the high beam actuator needs to be tapped into the high beam wires, so that when you pull for high beams, it activates the flaps as well. That's pretty much all there is to it.

What do you need for bi-xenons?

If you already have xenons W210, what do you need to make bi-xenon? An entire W211 light assembly or just the bulbs? Any tutorials?
