Question Having my ECU programmed

I am having Upsolute to read the ECU of my car today. Quite exciting. The ECU image will then be sent to Austria for fine tuning, and back here by next week.

Upsolute is well known in the Audi & Porchese community for good work & reasonable price (~$300-400). For Mercedes, they've done plenty of work on the 2.3 Kompression engine, on AMG one, on M113 (E430 V8), and plenty of diesel, but never a M112 engine (V6, E320), . I will be pilot customer for the V6 E320.

Promise is 20 Hp gain, and around 25 ft torque, with 91 octain gas (talked to Powerchip, but theirs require 93 gas, and double in price). And 10% saving on gas milegage.

Will update progress. Hope they will do good job on mine as they've done on Porchese & Audi world

I recently had the ECU in my 2000 E430 reprogrammed at Powerchip, and I'm quite pleased with the results. I'm using the Gold91 code, which is designed for 91 octane gasoline. You're absolutely correct about Powerchip being double or triple the cost of Upsolute- I paid about $900 including shipping- but I just couldn't find a broad set of Upsolute referrals. I've seen a few good reviews though, just not much traffic on the boards.

I suspect that as Upsolute becomes more well-known here in the USA, they will do what Powerchip did by raising their price.

I've added the K&N performance air filter, and will be adding a Remus Sport Exhaust tomorrow...I suspect though, that any noticeable performance increase has come already with my Powerchip upgrade.
