I have a 99 E320 4 matic wagon with about 100K on it.
The car has a distinct side to side shimmy right around 40mph and has worn the right rear tire in a weird pattern.
I thought the Right rear was actually bent (it still may be) so I swapped on the spare and it still does the shimmy, just not as bad.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem, I had the suspension looked at, but the problem went a way when I replaced both rear tires.Originally Posted by 30Spece30

How much are the bushings and what is the typical labor for a job like that? Can you just replace the bushings without anything else?Originally Posted by Highend

Run you around $100.00 and another hondo to install. Plus most place will tell you need to re align the car after, but a friend of mine who owns a shop has a special tool that cuts the time in half and keeps the car allinged. If you live in Orange County and want this done he is an awsome guy and i'll give you his # All he does is Merc, BMW, Porsche, and Jags so he knows his stuff
