help emergency

I have A 2000 E320 with 80,000 miles on the way home from work I stopped at a light and upon take off i noticed that the car had no power, I nursed it home with the check engine light on! I dont notice any odors, it seems as if the rpms cant exceed 3 or 4k.... any ideas as to what may be wrong?????? I looked at the owners manual and it indicates something perhaps relating to emissions, i'm thinking mass air flow meter, oxygen sensor or worst possible scenario catalytic converter,........ EMERGENCY PLEASE RESPOND ASAP !!!!!1 THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE

Probably MAF. You need to have the codes read to determine the cause of the problem. AutoZone will do this for free.

your car is probably in "limp home" mode, so that is why it won't go fast; getting the error codes decoded will tell you the real problem
