Radio replacement w/Sirius - which one?

I'm a Sirius subscriber, with a radio installed on my Goldwing motorcycle. There's nothing like it (satellite radio general).

I am considering replacing the radio head in my 2000 E320 with one which is Sirius radio ready. In thinking about that now, I suppose that I would loose the steering wheel control functions by replacing the Mercedes radio with anything else. Is that about correct?

I do have another Kenwood set just like the one I have on the bike, which I could setup in the car, and I know how to add line-out circuitry so that I could plug it into some kind of auxillary input - which I suppose doesn't exist also.

Has anyone here solved some of these problems with a functional and acceptable solution for adding satellite radio to the MB? I don't want to remove the ashtray (don't smoke, but use the lighter plug for cellphone power). And I don't want to tape something to the dash - especially the bright silver-looking controller head that I have - ick!

And what's din-size or double din-size? I suppose it refers to the standard hole that a car radio fits in.

Thanks for any insite.

Kenwood EZ700SR...

This is the deck I plan to use in my e320 once funds become available. It has a built-in Sirius tuner & comes with an antenna:

If you have the regular CD or tape deck (not COMAND/Nav unit), it should fit right in.

Thanks, Raj,

Just the kind of suggestion I was looking for. I'll check it out and ask more about it if I need to.
