Question Help E430 4-Matic vs. E320 4-Matic

1st time poster.
I'm looking at a couple of Certified Pre-Owned cars. They are as follows:
2002 E430 4-Matic w/navigation w/33k miles
2002 E320 4-Matic w/navigation w/34k miles
2002 E320 4-Matic no nav. heated seats, Bose, Sunroof, CD 7,400miles!!!

Is there a better model as between the 320 and 430? What is the reliability of the 6 vs. the 8?

I really don't mind the 6, but I am not a fan of those stock wheels/rims. How can I get the SE or 430 rims/wheels for a 320?

Doing tons of research, but really stumped on this.
Help

The 320 will give you better mileage and lower tune-up costs. (The tune-up interval for both is 100k miles, so this may not matter to you.) The 430 will give you more power and will be a lot smoother. Overall reliability between the M112 (V-6) and the M113 (V-8) should be about the same, since it's a modular motor. The 3.2L V6 is essentially the 4.3L V8 with 2 cylinders chopped off.

Your decision really boils down to the power / fuel economy tradeoff. I personally feel the power of the V6 is more than adequate.

You can upgrade the rims for either 320 or 430 quite easily. I got the rims for my car (see signature pic) for $219. You can pick up used rims from the 430 for pretty cheap on the forums or on eBay.

I am working for a high tech company and everything is data driven. I am concerned that people just give out suggestions/ comments without any proofs, this is dangerous to the receivers who are not well educated on that particular subject

MY2004 E320
Talking

v8 vs v6 is a personal taste. I settled on the v8 after driving several 320's. I like the added power which can come on handy any day. The mpg difference is not that significant. 275 HP is a lot of git go specially on the hwy.

My wife is a very civilized driver and I am seriously considering a 320 for her. For me, its V8 baby. Either 430 or like I have planned for the future, hopefully a W210 - E55 AMG.

320 or 430?

Get an e430 4matic. The prices are VERY reasonable on used models right now and there's no substitute for the torque. I get 25.5 miles in mine if I'm driving on the highway, and the passing power is just too good to pass up. Well that's my .02 anyway

I have a E430 4matic and it brings a smile to my face everyday!
Especially next to a 320!
I also calculated it costs me $30 a month more in gas.
That's only $1 per day.
Go for it!

nothing like a V-8

I went w/the V-8 E430. I just didn't feel like waking up every day saying to myself "I shoulda had a V-8". [sorry]
