I couldn't do it...
Daughter going on to med school, so thought would sell my car and get some of my cash back with a minimal loss. Put it in the paper, nice couple came over Sunday and took it for a drive. As they pulled back into my neighborhood and I watched my beautiful car coming up my street.....I realized this thing is just to beautiful to let go. Yep, not for sale anymore!

If you are that worried about your finances, why didn't you make that decision prior to dropping the $25 on the newspaper listing and wasting that lovely couple's time? Moment of weakness? Snap out of it. Drive it until its wheels fall off. The money you will save will be due to not replacing the car. If you did sell it, you would be back in the market as soon as the weather starts warming up.

First of all, I'm not worried about my finances, nor should you. If you must know, this is an extra car I bought just for fun or pleasure use while I was on a golf vacation and had it shipped back home to me. So, since I really don't need an extra car I thought I would sell it. Med. school for my daughter just gave me another practical reason to sell it.
As far as wasting the couple's time, they made no offer. Had they, I would have sold it. When they decided not to to buy I gladly took it off the market having decided I couldn't let it go.
My point to the post was to express the funny part of how my practical side wanted me to sell it and my emotional side couldn't part with it. That's all, no need to judge Dr. Phil

I remember the seperation axiety we experienced after getting rid of our benz. It was having too many problems and the warranty was done. In retrospect, we miss it. Keep her. She has issues but there's still no other car like a benz. This from a guy with 2 lexus cars in the driveway.

Always loved the Les Paul Custom but was a bit heavy for me.
I have a Charvel San Dimas plugged into a GK 250ML amp and I just bought a Taylor 310.

My LP weighs 11 pounds! Kills your lower back and shoulder after 20 minutes, but the tone........oh, the tone! I don't play out anymore, just jam with friends. Played with Mr. Joe Walsh and The James Gang in the summer of 72 at the Ohio State Fair. Fun times back then. Yeah, I'm older than you.

First off thanks for the story, I know I'd feel the same way if anyone drove off in mine! And you're right, lighten up Dr Phil, he wasn't asking for your judgement when he wrote this story.
