our wrecked E
. I went and took pics at the body shop, thought I'd share them. the body shop said the front axle is probably broken or cracked(?) judging by how the wheel looks. there was no visible engine damage ,except the windshield washer tank was loose. Also, the right side of the car's front quarter panel is uneven and protruding...could this be due to frame damage or just body panel? As you can see, the right side curtain bags came down as well as the f & r side bags, but the driver's steering wheel bag did not. Guess that's how the car's programmed...
The guy that ran the light was going about 30-35 MPH when he hit her, but she had just taken off from the green light so she was probably going no more than 15 mph.The impact spun the car around and it ended up at the opposite end of the intersection, and it stayed there until the tow truck came because it wouldn't move. My mom did say right after the crash, she heard the SOS beeping and a woman came on and asked if she was okay,to get out of the car etc. and that the police/ambulance were on there way. The police didn't even ask her anything for the police report, I guess they knew exactly what happened. The guy that hit her was driving a Ford Ranger from some kind of office supply store, and he was not wearing a seat belt and hit his head on the steering wheel
one good thing is our insurance has a rental car policy with up to $2500 covered, and they even upgraded to "luxury", which at our local Enterprise happened to be a brand new '06 Infiniti G35 w/ only 250 miles on it Trending Topics

I am curious about that too. If you do not subscribe, will they let you bleed to death after the airbags deploy? Or do they call 911 for you?
To answer the question regarding tele-aid - the account must be active for the SOS feature to work. Tele-aid 4 is free for the first year on all new tele-aid equipped Benz' and $240 a year thereafter...
