Question Rear shock and spring setup!

Rear Axle Level Control that's the name on the Window Sticker. Problem! I want 2 lower a 98 S210. Vogtland springs, Blistein Sport dampers on the garage floor ready 2 be installed. Remove rear wheel a hose to the damper. After farther reveiw I learned that 98 on S210's were equiped with Rear Axle Level Control as a standard feature. So the questions I have are. Can I put the rear springs on and keep factory dampers? Or remove the factory damping system and replace with, new dampers and springs? Can I get some help S/W 210ers?

Sorry, I can't answer your question.
But, it happened to me when I changes my Eibach springs.
I bought the wrong spings, which are for auto-leveling, it made the rear too low.
Then, I got the right springs for rear to make it right.
Now, I have two extra rear springs for auto-level w210.
If you need them, let me know.

Good luck,
Ben

I put on Vogtlands with Bilstein Sp all around. There was no issue with any other parts (believe you me, the shop would have brought it up as extra cost items). You shouldbe fine.

Fellows the S210 is a wagon. The rear axle level control adjust the level of the S210 when heavy load is in the rear. So it's not just regular shocks in the rear

I Installed The H/R sport springs in my W210 Estate using the STOCK rear struts...with 1 bump spring pads...No Problems..also with the rear self level one can fine tune it at the level arm at the center of the rear suspension..it has a adjustment slide on it...
I installed Bilstein Sport front shocks and E55 Sway bars..to go with the AMG E55 mono blocks 245/275s No Problems..been over five years...Looks great!
