Slight tire difference on a 4matic ok?
I just purchased a pair of 245/40/17's from a member. My car has 235/45/17's on it now, and if I put these tires on it will have the 235's on the front and the 245's on the back. I've read that you can't use a staggered tire setup on the 4matic as it will harm the suspension. Is a tire difference this small going to be a problem?

The Tire Rack site list "revs per mile" of different tire sizes and you would be looking at a difference of 17 revolutions per mile.
I'd advise against.

Don't do it... If may or may not mess up the traction control, but it certainly will put extra stress on your transfer case. And those aren't cheap to replace. You can run 245/45/17 all the way around, but you can't run two different sizes.
