Computer diagnosis tool for E300

Does anyone know of software & a cable capable of accessing the computer on an E300? Mine is a '99.

Cables usually tied diredtly to diagnostic modules. Post 1996 use ODBII.

You can also check out http://www.obdii.com. They have a good explanation about obd2. They also sell the cables to hookup to a PC, Palm, etc. I think you can download the software for free to check out the interface on your PC.

Autoenginuity

I have Autoenginuity. It works very well for diagnosis and real-time technical information. You can use it to dynotest your car & gauge rpms, 02 sensors and a number of other functions. Actually, it turns out to be more information than I need. If you're interested, I could re-sell it to you for $177 plus cheap shipping and insurance. It's the serial version and in perfect condition. Just bought it.

If you just need to read fault codes I suggest you got to your local Autozone. They can do it for free or you can rent the scanner, which is also free.
