Thank You, Skylaw, MIK, BKLYNBENZ - Phone Kit and VRM

Today, I finished the installation of Phone Kit and VRM in my 2001 E-430.

I like to special thanks to Skylaw, Mik and BKLYNBENZ for their time and technical assistance.

Thanks to Skylaw, I found ebay member that Skylaw recommended and bought Phone Kit that included PSE, Compensator, bracket, screws/nuts, VRM and PTT Lever for $147. This Ebayer even included D2B fiber cable and connector.

I did not buy cradle and coil cable, because I will get these from Mik for my V551.

Dealer wanted for Kit $1200 [not including the phone] and other ebayer seller wanted $400-$500. But Skylaw recommended ebayer save me lot. Great service.

I check my VRM and it work like a charm. I have Audio 30 head unit. Now with PTT lever I can talk to car and tell to change FM, AM, Cassette, CD, Phone and many more commands. What a wonderfull convenient is VRM.

I have not checked my phone yet, but I know the D2B loop is working great. So once the dealer activates phone function on the instrument panel and steering wheel buttons then I will check it out.

I recommend to many owners of 2000+ w210 to get VRM and phone kit in the car. Hand free driving is great. You will love it.

I have one question for any one who likes to answer, how come my VRM working with full function, even though I have not gone to dealer to "Code version D2B loop" ???
