Low tone horn trouble

Hello Crew,
I was honking at some A-Hole on the parkway last Sunday and the low tone for the horn went out on me. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I still have the high tone working but it doesnt exactly carry the same weight as when both horns are working! I am wondering if there is a relay for the horn(s)... does anybody know if there is and where to find it. Thanks for the info!!

I'm watching for an answer here also. Got the same problem.

In the 9 months I've had my 2000 E320, I have heard both horn segments blow together once. It's just the high note otherwise. And like you say, it doesn't make a very big impression when needed. I couldn't even get the woman sitting at a green light to take note the other day. My Goldwing motorcycle has a much louder horn than the MB.

Thanks,

Brian

things with and without wheels
Check for power going to both horns, if you have pwer to both horns then it can be 2 things: bad ground or bad horn.To check for power you can use a test light or better yet use a dvom .
