Speed volume control question

I find myself constantly having to adjust the radio volume back up because of this. How do I disable? It's a 2002 E320. Annoying!!!

It's my understanding that the dealer can program it to be either on or off. There are no driver controls for it.

We had this problem with a W202 that had the same head unit. The dealer was able to reprogram the amount of volume increase so it was closer to what we wanted.

I actually hate this feature. Always have. It's rather annoying that it needs to be programmed by the dealer. I wonder how much the charge is.

I agree. I am constantly readjusting the volume because the radio thinks I want it louder or softer. It was a big mistake of MB not to allow the driver to disable this feature.

UGH,,, the speed volume control is the most annoying feature on ANY car IMO. My dealer completly disabled mine before I picked up my 2001 430, no charge. i understand they do it after delivery for 25 bucks here.

You can cut the input wire at the back of the stereo so it no longer offsets the volume.

Socket: "A" pin: "1" description: "speed dependant volume control"

I got my head unit disable for volume control with speed for $33 at stealer. Now the Radio head unit work great.

I did not like the automatic volume control design by MB.
