Audio 30 [99-2002 W210] head unit in my 97 W210
Is it possible to install Audio 30 [99-2002 W210] head unit in my 97 W210.
The current head unit and CD work great, but I like to swap it with Audio 30 head unit so I can install 2001 phone kit on D2B network.
Is 97 W210 has D2B fiber for CD changer???
Once I get Audio 30 in the 97 w210 then I can wire up and install the W210 2001 phone kit [Without VCM module].
Any feed back will be appreciated.

It is possible to install it but the Audio 30 has an optical interface with the CD changer so your older one will not work. You will have to replace the whole system.

Hadam - let me know if you have trouble tracking down an Audio 30. I
have one sitting unused right now. I replaced it with an Audio 10 in my
99 E320. Yes, try to track down a FO cable as well as MC3010 or
MC3198 fiber optic compliant changers. r-
