'96 E300 Diesel EDC problem?

Hi gys,

What does this mean: "EDC Diesel electronic" this appear on my bord computer.

Does anybody experience such a problem?
When the weather is cold the car start difficult.
Is it possible to be from the sparkplugs or battery?

I'd suggest that you check the glow plugs if its difficult to start on a cold morning - does it become easier when the engine is already warm?

Also check out www.MercedesShop.com, then go under forums - Lots 'o' diesel folks there.

With that message it's tough to say anything - I would have the codes scanned, as that message alone is worthless - For example, if you battery is almost dead or dead, with the engine running, you will get message like that all over the dash as it lights up like a Christmas Tree - does it run fine? Anything noticeably wrong?
