Increase horse power

Does anyone know how to increse the Hp with minimum changes to the car, like Air filters and small changes which do not affect the warranty and are inexpensive, maybe upto $500.

Thanks

Powerchip software, lighten Evo pullies, GreenFilters, exhaust and headers, but with all that money, you might be able to find a used supercahrger. I did the first route and then did the Supercharger.

Small changes in hp, especially those under $500, are going to be a waste of money on a normally aspirated car if you expect any returns that will actually make your car faster. Save your money for a supercharger/turbocharger system or buy another car. By the way, what car do you own?

I spent $400 to have my ECU chipped by Upsolute, and another $40 on Green Air filter, best money I've ever spent on car.

Engine response & power is amazing. I've always wished for bigger engine (E500, E55) before the mod, I'm now happy with my E320, since the combination of gas milegage and engine output is quite good.

I just bought a K&N drop in filter for my E430. I'm wondering the same thing too---what other low-cost mods can I do.

What mods are there for the best bang for my buck?

How much money do superchargers run? Are there going to be any reliability concerns with the motor?

Supercharger

E55cent, did you just put on the supercharger or did you have other changes to the engine at the same time. If you find a used supercharger, do you think it could be put on in the backyard or you need to make other changes to the motor?

I got a very good price on my S/C and installed it my self in a few days. The motor is stock because I'm only running 5.5lbs of boost. The problem with your car is that it is a 6 cyl and there is only one company that make S/C for your car and it is not cheap. The only other way would be to custom make a supercharger kit for you car but that could take tons of reasearch and hard work. There seems to be more products for the 430 motors and up.
Good luck
