Talking Newbie on board

Hello Peoples,

I just bought a 2001 Silver E320 on Monday (54k mile). It has been a dream drive ever since I did the test drive. What a fantastic car. I love it more than the 328i BMW I had. I'm in Austin,TX which had a winter storm (Icy rain) over night. They close a lot of the passage ways due to black ice. Can't see it until you're on top of it and then you're sitting on the side of the road wondering how you're going to get out of ditch or unwrap your car from a pole or rail. I felt so safe and assured with this car today. The EPS and wet features applied I was able to watch other cars slide and spin while I had traction, ease and comfort all the way to and from work.

Last winter I took mine to the huge Tech school parking lot where they train emergency drivers: there was snow, slush, patches of ice, wet spots and dry areas. I could not get it to get squirrelly! Fantastic traction & handling. Up in these parts I'd recommend dedicated snow tires, although you wouldn't need 'em down there. Enjoy - and feel safe & secure!
