Multi Contour seats questions/help
Hey everyone.
I have an 02 E55 with Multi-contour seats and I have 2 problems on my drivers seat.
1. Side bolsters won't stay inflated. I pump them up, 2-3 minutes and they go back to flat.
Do you know where the leak might be?? And how to test it/fix it?
2. Yesterday my heating in the seat stopped heating the back rest.
It heats bottom cushion up as it used to, but no heat in the whole back rest.
Have you ever had a problem like that? Any advice? Do you know how to test if it's a wire somewhere, or may be an element or smth like that? Any ideas how to fix it?

These are both tough to pinpoint by yourself. Your recourse is probably biting the bullet and letting the dealer diagnose it, but I'd guess they will want to replace both the air bladders and the heating element. If both side bolsters deflate at the same time, it seems the hose is loose or leaking and not the bladders themselves.
Try posting this in the tech forum. Maybe MBTech has some suggestions.

I am having the exact same problem with my 2000 E55. My drivers side doesnt inflate at all and the passengers fully inflates and then after a minute deflates. Have not taken it to the dealer because car is in storage for the winters of Syracuse NY, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or could give me a ballpark of what the STEALER will want to do!
