What are the best "Free Air Subs"??

I already have 2 12" subs in a huge box in my trunk which sounds great but I have no trunk space. What I would like to do in put two "free air subs" hanging from the rear deck. Is this possible and will it sound any good? It takes so much power to even get a small amount of bass from these car, due to the gas tank and fire wall. Any suggestion?
Thank you

I had 2-12's hanging from the rear deck, but I changed it to a rear firing trunk enclosure. I still have a good deal of room though I have the bigger S. If you build a custom small box to fit and sitting deep so it rear fires and it secures to the top of the inner trunk lid/wall. You would have more alot more room. Most of the time I have my internal bass roll-off switch from my JL-500 1 on zero. They hit real hard when you rear fire. It is the only way to fly.

I would probably go with the Audiobahn or something for a free-air setup. They also will look great because they will be exposed. Not many options for free-air.

ps.Nice ride
