Which photo is more representative on the color?

Does anyone own this color car, please post pics of car in natural light.

189 is the code for Black Opal here in the US. Hard to tell with the photos, but the smaller upper left photo looks the closest. It is definately not green, but more a dark blue. Probably any Mercedes dealer should have a Black Opal vehicle of some kind in stock. Hope this helps.

Interesting

I must have looked up the Euro codes by mistake. Black Opal is right (the smaller pic). Thanks!

I think they're both black opal. Black opal looks green or blue depending on the light.

I don't know much about Emerald Green. But I can't say this enough: you have to see MBZ exterior paint colors on actual cars in actual daylight. Especially with the Metallics. I have had to drive and fly all over the country at times to 'see' what a color actually looks like. Here are three examples of what I consider to be 'fair' representations of Black Opal Metallic in different lighting conditions. (one of our member's sig is several photos of his Black Opal Metallic E55 -- just compare his pics to these, and you'll see what I mean....).

Clay, speaking of Carlsson, are the wheels on the SL (above) Carlsson wheels ? I love the lip, as I think about those "flared" fenders on the new S550.

Yeah 1-16 Ultra Lights. I have them on a few cars. Great wheels. I do them now in 'silver' finish though. I have other wheels on other cars that I do think look 'better' IMO, but it is hard to beat the functionality in the lightness and the ability to fit rubber on the UL's. Those are 20X9 and 20X11 BTW. and I've never had a problem with them.
And oh yeah baby am I gonna tuck some rubber under the new S65 and those flares!

Here is a pic of my 1997 SLK which has a Emerald Black paint job. It is a great color for me.

My bad. I should not have posted to this forum. It will not happen again but I will say that I like the color of Emerald Black.
