Has anyone ever seen a modification where a w210 trunk lid had a brake light
rather than inside the back window? Just like the newer ones? Personally that would be fly!!!

no, i've seen it done on a w202 and it was ice but the rear benz emblem had to go......

it's a lot of work to make it sit in there. trust me i was trying to do that at the bodyshop a few days ago and it's all metal work....labor really.....

Did you ever complete it,and if you did, post a picture,if you can, I think it would add a real elegant look to the car. Take care, and thanks again, Alex!!!

it's ironic that you're looking to do this modification, because that is one of the 211 design points that is keeping me away from buying one. in fact, if i do get a 211 i'll be looking for someone to take the light out - maybe we can trade sheet metal for lens . the clean, simple design of mercedes speaks to me, it seemed uncharacteristic of them to put the light on the trunk, the S class has not gone that way - i wonder why.

Alex, do you have a connection somewhere to locate the chrome trunk strip? All I see online are the Euro versions, which are too wide for the US license frame area.

Hi Ho ,Silver........Thanks a lot ,they had some real nice things, even some exhaust tips that I looked all over for. Thanks ,again I've seen the website before, but they've really expanded it since the last time I was there.
